NRA Basic Handgun Class
The Basic Pistol class introduces students to the knowledge, Skills and Attitude
necessary for owning and using a pistol SAFELY. You will learn about pistol parts and how they operate and the different types of pistols. Ammunition and types of malfunctions and how to SAFELY deal with them. You will learn the fundamentals of shooting such as proper grip, trigger control, Breath control and sight aliment.
This is a class for the beginner as well as the seasoned shooter and is a precursor to our CCW and other courses. As we say "You never know what you don't know"

Whats the class cost ?
$250.00 per person. We require a $100.00 nonrefundable deposit to be sent along with your registration form
How often do you hold classes ?
At least once a month.
How long is the class?
Normally the class takes 8 hours with lunch and breaks
What day is the class ?
We hold Basic Handgun classes on Saturdays
What is the minimum age for this class?
Students 12 through 18 years old must accompanied by a parent. Due to state law student 18 through 21 must have a sign letter from a parent or legal guardian to attend the class and are allowed to handle firearms.
Do I need to own a gun?
No, this is a great class to take BEFORE you buy a gun.
You will learn about what your options are before you make a purchase. We like to think of buying a pistol as if you were buy a pair of shoes. You want to try them on and see what fits you first.
Do we get to shoot in this class?
Not in this class, We use laser pistols and reactive targets. You will get to handle many different types of pistols. There is no LIVE AMMUNITION in the class room
